George Floyd Protests New York

 

On May 29, 2020, a mere four days after the death of George Floyd, hundreds of protestors flooded the five boroughs of New York to express their outrage and sorrow.
Though demonstrations were mostly peaceful, protestors clashed with police in both Brooklyn and Manhattan, resulting in injuries and arrests.
These images cover a two-month period of near daily protests and capture a city surging with unrest in the face of injustice.
